(astro/atom) Mail Queues - Resolved

The previously posted issue was resolved at 4.10pm AEST (~ 40 minutes).  All mail in the queue was then delivered.

A conflict appeared during a software update to the systems used for the spam and virus scanning.  These updates are applied routinely every night, unfortunately this particular one didn’t function correctly.  We appreciate your patience and understanding.

There’s currently a delay of all mail being delivered on both astro and atom.  The issue will be resolved shortly and all mail will be delivered.  No email messages have been lost.

[Non-Network] Accounts/Billing System - Completed

The new Accounts/Billing and helpdesk systems are now in place.

During the changeover there were a few invoices generated incorrectly and reminder notices issued automatically.  These have now been corrected and resent.

You can view, print (PDF) and pay all invoices online now by logging into your client account.

[Non-Network] Accounts/Billing System

This weekend we are migrating to a new accounts/billing system.  As part of this we are also changing helpdesk systems.

The helpdesk remains operational during this time, however, access to the billing system is not possible.  If you have any account specific enquires please email us directly.

The new system is expected to be in place and operational this Monday (26th of January 2009).

(astro) Update

The load on astro has returned to normal once again.

There have been some additional software updates and both apache and mysql restarted.  The system will continue to be monitored closely - more updates to follow.

(astro) Time-outs

Due to the ongoing server load issues being experienced on astro some services like collecting mail or browsing database driven sites may be timing out. We’re still working on this issue and have made some progress overnight.

Some of the software on astro is being re-compiled at present so a restart will be required of the web server once complete.  This process will only take a couple of minutes to complete each time.

The server is being monitored very closely and we really do appreciate your patience and understanding.  As previously stated if you’d like to be moved to a different server please let us know via the helpdesk.  Account moves are done outside business hours (after 6pm) and scheduled in the order in which they’re received.

If you have any other comments or questions please contact us via the helpdesk.

(astro) Server Load

astro has been experiencing higher than normal loads for the past few days. Whilst we’ve been working on reducing it the problem hasn’t been resolved yet.

It is a priority but we may still experience spikes at times through the day as normal loads vary at peak times during business hours.

Your patience is appreciated, as always.

If you have any questions please contact the helpdesk.

Also, if you’d like to be moved off this server to another one we can do that outside business hours. This is an option and not a requirement - the issue will be resolved as soon as we can get to the root cause.
